Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use our website and the embedded maps. This statement describes how far we achieve this today and where limits remain.
Compliance status
[Placeholder: e.g. “This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.” – fill in only after an assessment.]
What we have implemented
- The pages can be operated with the keyboard, with a visible focus and a skip link to the content.
- Text colours are designed for a contrast of at least 4.5:1.
- A list of places as a text alternative to the map – on the “All places” page and in embedded maps via the parameter list=1.
- We respect the system setting “reduce motion”: the home page animations are then switched off.
- User interface in up to 28 languages.
Known limitations
- The interactive map view itself is a graphic: it is only partly accessible to screen readers and only partly operable with the keyboard. All places are therefore also available as a text list.
- Embedded external map services (WMS/WMTS) are provided by third parties; their accessibility is outside our control.
- Content added by customers (descriptions, images) is their responsibility; we support alternative texts but cannot enforce them.
- [Placeholder: further limitations from the assessment]
